John Oliver is a British stand up comedian and actor. He is currently the host of HBO's weekly late-night talk show, Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He was born on April 23, 1977 in Birmingham England. He is best known for his correspondence work on The Daily Show with Jon Stewart which he won an Emmy for back in 2009. He frequently partners with Andy Zaltzman on many projects including podcasts, and radio broadcasts. They have also done tele ion shows including Political Animal, The Department, and The Bugle. He currently resides in New York City and is a permanant resident of the United States. Oliver has portrayed the recurring role of Ian Duncan on Community for several seasons.
