Ryan Ridley is an American writer and actor. He is a native of Detroit, Michigan who moved to Chicago and spent four years performing standup comedy and making short films. He eventually went to Los Angeles and become a part of Dan Harmon's short film festival "Channel 101" starring in a number of the submissions. This began a long collaboration between the two as he went on to join the cast of Harmon's 2007 VH-1 program "Acceptable TV". He joined the writing staff of "Community" in Season Five and stayed on for Season Six. Along with his writing credits he has also performed onscreen portraying a character named after himself. Ridley is currently a producer on another Harmon show called "Rick and Morty", an animated program airing on the Cartoon Network . Along with being a part of the writing staff he also provides voice over work for various characters on that show.
