Minor characters on Community are those that have been featured in brief appearances on the show or on webisodes. The following is a compilation of those characters in Season Five.

FIRST APPEARANCE: "Cooperative Polygraphy"
"Assistant" assists in operating a lie detector machine (polygraph). After Pierce died, a lawyer named Mr. Stone was employed by Pierce to conduct a private inquest in order to ensure that none of the Study Group were responsible for his death. The group had to submit to a number of questions answered while hooked up to a polygraph if they were to receive their "bequeathals". Assistant appeared to operate the polygraph while Mara communicated the read-outs.
Bixel is an app developer for the company "JammyPow". Along with David, he introduces a social networking app called "MeowMeowBeenz" to the Study Group at the invitation of Dean Pelton. "MeowMeowBeenz" allows a player to rank anything and everyone on campus from a scale of one to five.
Jordan Blum was a part of the Two clique in the "MeowMeowBeenz" app trial. He tried to raise his status by participating in the talent show put on by the Fives. His act was juggling batons which was not looked on favorably by the Fives and subsequently the rest of the audience. He was reduced to a One and banished to the "Outlands".
Tim Briggs is a reporter for the campus newspaper the Greendale Mirror. He was present for the news conference concerning the "Ass Crack Bandit". He asked the Dean if he had received a letter from the Bandit after Garrett Lambert was cracked.
"Britta's buyer" is a fence who buys stolen goods. When Shirley, Jeff and Buzz Hickey discover 120 mint condition textbooks that they want to sell, Britta hooks them up with her buyer. He points out to Shirley that the textbooks are misprints and only good for recycling.

Chief Blue Sky is a native American belonging to the Arapaho tribe. After the Save Greendale Committee prevents Richie and Carl of the Greendale school board from selling Greendale to Subway Sandwiches, the committee celebrates by dancing. During this, Richie Countee is seen eating a Subway sandwich and talking to Chief Blue Sky about receiving training in certain "powers".

David is an app developer for the company "JammyPow". Along with Bixel, he introduces a social networking app called "MeowMeowBeenz" to the Study Group at the invitation of Dean Pelton. "MeowMeowBeenz" allows a player to rank anything and everyone on campus from a scale of one to five.
Parker Deay was a part of the Three clique in the "MeowMeowBeenz" app trial. He acted as a security guard for the Fives. In this capacity, he was sent to remove a poor contestant in the Fives talent show and banish him. He spoke poorly and was himself also reduced to a One and banished to the "Outlands".
Devon is the actor in the VCR game "Pile of Bullets". In a flashback to 1993, he is convinced by his wife to quit his job at Apple Computers in order to accept the part, move to Los Angeles and to try cocaine.

He is portrayed by Vince Gilligan, who is best known as the creator of the crime drama television series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. His appearance in community is one of the four acting cameos Vince Gilligan has ever made.
In 1993, "Devon's wife" convinces her husband to quit his job at Apple Computer to become the actor in the VCR game "Pile of Bullets". She believes that VCR games are the next big thing and that they will become rich and successful if he takes the job. She insists they move to Los Angeles and talks to him about trying cocaine.
Doug is an organizer of a benefit for "Starving Orphans with Cleft Palates" that the Save Greendale Committee attends at a theatre. He greets Britta with great friendship. Later when Britta asks him and his friends to participate in a protest against a cosmetics lab, his friend Janet refuses as they have too much to lose. When Britta presses the matter, Janet insults Britta for having little to lose. Doug tries to soften the situation and calm Janet down.
"Female Four" was a part of Four clique who enjoyed their status and liked to lord it over lower ranked users. She taunted Britta's number Two rank when she and her friends ran into her in the halls. She later played keytar at the Fives Fancy Future dance ceremony.

"Four #1" was a high ranking app user who was a part of a Four clique who enjoyed their status and liked to lord it over lower ranked users. In a restricted area they encountered a Two named Britta Perry and a new Four named Jeff Winger. While by himself the Four later caught Jeff and Britta together in an office. He confessed to them he loved a Number Two once as well named Mathew and promised to keep Jeff's secret. Sometime later he later performed at the Fives Fancy Future dance ceremony.
"Four #2" was a high ranking app user who was a part of Four clique who enjoyed their status and liked to lord it over lower ranked users. While in a restricted area they encountered a Two named Britta Perry and a new Four named Jeff Winger who he didn't recognize. Sometime later he performed at the Fives Fancy Future dance ceremony.
"Guard" was a part of the Three clique in the "MeowMeowBeenz" app trial. He acted as a security guard for the Fives. After Jeff is promoted to a Five and enters a "Fives only" area, Britta tries to follow but is stopped by the Guard. Britta indicates that the new society won't last and that she'll change people's minds because "words are her weapons". The Guard pulls out a taser and indicates that weapons are his weapons upon which Britta leaves.
Michael Hale is an organizer of a benefit for "Starving Orphans with Cleft Palates" that the Save Greendale Committee attends at a theatre. He makes a toast to Britta at the benefit praising her efforts as an activist.

"Hotel Clerk" works at a hotel that Alan Connor was at when calling Jeff on his progress in finding incriminating evidence involving the Marvin Humphries case at Greendale. Alan is sitting at the concierge desk and is asked to leave by Hotel Clerk.
Janet is an organizer of a benefit for "Starving Orphans with Cleft Palates" that the Save Greendale Committee attends at a theatre. She greets Britta with great friendship but later when Britta asks her and her friends to participate in a protest against a cosmetics lab, Janet refuses as she has too much to lose. When Britta presses the matter, Janet insults Britta for having little to lose.
Jeremy is a Greendale student who has been in all the Study Group's major classes. In their fifth year at Greendale, Jeremy watched Jeff return to Greendale, was at the assembly for the "Ass Crack Bandit", participated in the "Hot Lava" game, was a "Two" in the app test of "MeowMeowBeenz" and watched Preston Koogler photocopy his butt.

Jeremy likes watermelon margaritas and appears as a background character in over 45 episodes. Charles Chen acted as Ken Jeong's (Chang) stand-in.
"Judgemental Student" is a student in the hallway during Jeff's first day as a teacher. Jeff is still adjusting with the transformation from student to teacher. When Leonard insults him, Jeff responds with a "Shut up, Leonard!" quip. Upon hearing this, Judgemental Student rebukes Jeff.
Raul Lopez is a reporter for the campus newspaper the Las Noticias Hispanicas de Greendale. He was present for the news conference concerning the "Ass Crack Bandit". He asked the Dean if the "cracking" of Garrett Lambert would affect soccer.
Mara operates a lie detector machine (polygraph). After Pierce died, a lawyer named Mr. Stone was employed by Pierce to conduct a private inquest in order to ensure that none of the Study Group were responsible for his death. The group had to submit to a number of questions answered while hooked up to a polygraph operated by Mara if they were to receive their "bequeathals". Mara would usually echo the responses from the group in the positive or negative.
"Old Janitor" is an imaginary person to Ben Chang. While the Save Greendale Committee goes to a theatre for a benefit for "Starving Orphans with Cleft Palates", Chang imagines that he is there. He stumbles into a theatre and performs a rousing one-man performance to great applause. When he exits the theatre, he runs into an Old Janitor who tells him that no person or performance has been in the theatre since the 1997 fire.

"Pretty Girl" is a student in the hallway during Jeff's first day as a teacher. Jeff is still adjusting with the transformation from student to teacher. When Jeff passes by Pretty Girl and her friend, he smiles at her suggestively. Pretty girl reacts with disgust.
"Red Hair" is a student in Jeff's first class as a teacher, "Fundamentals of Law". After Jeff introduces himself, he asks the class if there are any questions. Jeff deflects all questions and finally becomes frustrated with the volume of questions and berates the students for asking them. Red Hair points out that answering questions is Jeff's job as a teacher which depresses him.
Gwen Ridley is a reporter for the campus newspaper the Greendale Gazette. She was present for the news conference concerning the "Ass Crack Bandit". She asked the Dean if the "cracking" of Garrett Lambert meant that the Bandit had returned.

Danny Rothstein[]
“So, he what, he like, took a crap in a bunch of fountains or something?”— Wendy Dillon (neighbor), "Basic Intergluteal Numismatics".
Danny Rothstein is a former Greendale student. While at Greendale, he serially pooped into various fountains (including the Muchnick memorial fountain and drinking fountains), earning the name "Fountain Pooper". He was finally stopped by junior security guard Josh Laolagi. He claims not to really remember committing the crimes, since he was off his meds and drinking a lot at the time. Due to the nature of the crime, he was also suspected to be the Ass Crack Bandit, though he was absolved of those charges.
"Ski Cap" is a student in Jeff's first class as a teacher, "Fundamentals of Law". When Annie joins Jeff's class in order to force him to be better prepared, she argues with him in class over his instructions. Jeff defeats Annie handily in the argument and she leaves. Garrett asks Jeff how he beat Annie and when Jeff says he just let Annie argue with herself, Ski Cap asks how.

Throughout the series an actor named Andy Lobo is used as a frequent background extra. He is notable for his shoulder length brown hair. In Season Five Lobo appears in 5 episodes. He watched Jeff return to Greendale, was part of the "riot" over teacher grading practices (minuses), was at the assembly for the "Ass Crack Bandit" and was "cracked" after Vicki and, was a "Two" in the app test of "MeowMeowBeenz". He was also used as a stand-in for Star-Burns when he is caged in "Basic Intergluteal Numismatics. In total he appears in over 65 episodes.
