In 2011 before the Winter holidays an "ASCAP rep" was sent to Greendale due to an anonymous tip concerning the unlawful use of copyrighted songs. Once on campus he was accompanied by security guard Sgt. Chang and together they delivered a cease and desist order to the Glee Club interrupting a performance they were having in the cafeteria. He watched on impassively as the club members had an overly emotional mental breakdown at the news.
